Oh, I definitely think you can put together a battery pack that'll handle more power, just tough to get more in the same size package so it's not so damn big in your pocket or in your pants.

    This Gobi battery pack is 3.4" x 2.9" x 0.8" (7.8 cubic inches)
That Milwaukee M18 is 5.5" x 3.3" x 2.3" (41.7 cubic inches) - At least that's what they have on the home depot website.

The Gobi battery pack is just 4 18650 li-ion batteries wrapped in a soft material, it'd be hard to substantially beat the power/size of it without going to lipo. I suppose you could make a battery pack out of the absolute best available 3400mAh batteries to build a pack that'd supply 6800mAh at 7.4V. That'd get you up to 50 watts or so, still in that same 3.4x2.9x0.8" package.
