I noticed the sign on the Halifax one say Bass Pro in the middle but Cabelas on the left. Maybe it won't suck? lol. And maybe the Bass Pro in Moncton will get its own Cabelas section.

We do need more competition to lower the costs.

I live in the country. Where I am within 30mins. All I got is 2 overpriced Canadian tires, a gas station that is a gun shop and a small sister location gas station that just sells ammo and supplies. And you ain't finding any good deals in all 4 of those places. So I either have to order online, or take a trip into the city.

Now when I went to Cabelas in NB before it closed, I really didnt see any really good prices either. Just was nice to handle ammo w/o being behind a cage.

Well I went today..This was the only thing worth while.

"Welcome Fisherman. Hunters. And other liars.

There was plenty of empty shelves, Airgun selection was 4 guns. Firearms, Maybe 30 maybe rifles. 1/2 dozen pistols.

I was severely disappointed. I'll stick with my Green Diamond outfitters.

That sounds pretty slack compared to Moncton, I honestly don't know how bass pro had the capital to buy cabelas, there isn't a thing I like BP better for.

    Now I miss SIR

Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies. - H.L. Mencken

Yeah I been to the Cabelas/Bass Pro in Moncton. This is shit compared to them. I don't think the fishing aspect would be enough to keep the other sections afloat. It's going to be like Better Buy Sports. Nobody talks about them. First impressions are everything. And when the shelves are bare. Nobody going to give them a second chance.

Now the other sections were full. But the firearm section are lacking hard.

When a John Deere store has a better selection, then you know you messed up.

I went last Friday. The place was busy, lots of stock, average prices. All in all, good selection for hunters mostly.
