After you enter the contest it will pop up a message saying you have entered.
Due to the amount of entries we get, we can't go through each one on a person to person basis to ensure
1. you entered
2. you did not duplicated your entries.
I am sorry but it was part of the rules.

Welcome to GOC, Site for honest, hardworking Canadians, that own firearms.
To Further this all entries are assigned a number (done in order of entry ) and in the end that number is ran through random.org for the winner number.
For me to delete an entry if there was two, and one of the ones i possibly deleted was the one that was removed it could be unfair.
How can i judge what of 2 or 3 or 4 entries i should keep and which to remove?
We laid out the rules to ensure fairness to all members

While I understand and agree with the rules, I feel it's a shame there is no flag of some sort in my profile, a subscription notice or a message in my inbox to confirm my entry. I participate in many discussion on many forums of many types. I tend remember details. I have the memory of an elephant. Having said that, I'm also human.
I will speak to our technical team and see if there is anything we can do in the future.
Its a good idea.

Just thinking out loud, perhaps if upon receipt of our entry we were sent a PM? In the PM you could say something like "save this message as proof of entry".
Might be easier than rigging up a new system
Yep might be something we can do, it will take some time to look into it, we will try to have something better rigged up for the next set of giveaways

FYI fellow Albertans. Answering 'unfortunately' in the random question box prevents entry.
